The Power Of West

Known for bringing stability in life, the West direction is ruled by the planet Saturn – also known as the planet of disciplines and responsibility. Lord Varun rules this direction – the deity of rain, fame and fate. Usually, west direction isn’t considered very auspicious; however, if handled well, it can prove to be a lot beneficial to Residences and Business both.

Vaastu originated from the lakshagrah episode of Mahabharat when Sthapati started building structures giving rise to Indraprastha, the capital of our country which is now known as Delhi.

The science of Vaastu is a study of directions aimed at creating an equilibrium by balancing the different elements of nature (solar energy of the sun, lunar energy of the moon, wind energy, magnetic fields of earth and the heat energy of fire) and utilizing them for the benefit of humans.

If the West direction isn’t handled properly, it could result in an increase in bad habits, addiction to drugs, and health issues in the family. The damage could be so severe that it could even put the women of the family in depression.

VAASTU PRINCIPLES

The West direction has got multiple uses for house purpose. Leaving more space in the West direction is not good when dealing with residential plots.

In fact, having less space on the West and more space on the East is considered better when one is dealing with residential or commercial properties.

West direction plays a vital role for expansion of a family generation, business, and industries. As it is ruled by the planet Saturn, the West direction is more industrious and helps in expanding massively. The consequences of not handling West direction well could increase in labor turnover, meaning employees not having a good relationship with the management, ultimately leaving the job. There is a possibility of property turnaround or change in ownership as a repercussion. It is also noted that West is more beneficial to women than it is to men.
